View Full Version : AMD XP L1s Sports New Look

Courtesy of Overclockers, the new batch of AMD XP has narrowed the pits in the L1 bridge from big square pits to narrower slits. Depends on what your pit filling skills or vision is, the change creates a pro and con for OCers. For people who are blind and not to mention shaky hands (yet, you know who you are, you wannabe bastards), my only suggestion's to get your ass over to Plycon and get the magic L1 bridge connection tape kit. It's all worth it. But if you're a sniper and have lady fingers, by all means get a tube of crazy glue and a conductive pen and unlock the sucker the old fashion way.

Okay, here's the picture that should've accompanied the above post.

Those sure look a lot easier to bridge than the first XPs to come out. For those that missed the pic, here is what the craters looked like.

And here's a new article by Overclockers on unlocking the slit style XP with epoxy and defogger repair kit.

Ahhh Shiet....will that trace tape from Plycon work?

For $20 it better work. They got a new shipment of the tape with 5 lines per sheet made for XP unclocking. And with the shorter pit, it should be easier to unlock if you're using the tape.
