As many of you know, Comdex is taking place here in the US, & I saw this over at the via site. So far this is all I've found out:
The ABIT WA-2A contains support for up to 4GB of registered PC2100 DDR memory, has an AGP Pro 50 graphics slot, an on-board 10/100MHz Ethernet controller and 2X 64-bit/66MHz PCI slots.
It also uses the AMD760 chip. What I don't understand is why Abit would make this board when AMD announced yesterday that they're getting out of the chipset business. Anyhow, here's the only pic I could find.

Me thinks you mean chipset business right :)
Yeah I saw this board pic on the sites yesterday and didn't think too much of it. I think the Gigabyte board looks like a better layout and better features.

It's amazing what 3 little letters left out can do to a post, yep chipset is what I meant, I better edit that.

Have you guys notice you can't slap a PAL8045 on these new economy class MP mobos 'cause they didn't bother punching 4 holes around the damn socket? Same thing with Tyan Tiger MP. Tyan Thunder MP has 4 holes around the socket, but slacked off with the Tiger. Now, how the hell I'm I suppose to cool my duo OCed CPUs? With 2 loud freaking SK-6?
Edit: Okay, I just caught the black holes around the Asus MP mobo, but still, why didn't Tyan put holes around their Tiger MP?

amstoned I have a drill you can borrow. Don't get me wrong about Abit, but I know there older boards are a bastard to get stable, how in gods green earth will they be able to get this board right? I know once you get the "kinks" out they run great, but geeze enough is enough

I can't wait till a solid AMD dual cpu mobo comes out with a good price. I want to build a workstation for work.
