Thank you, James. My oversight.

i'm in mid install At this Moment, and seem to be stuck at the log in screen. The "Next" button is not available to click on. (it's 'shadowed').
Heeeeeeeelp!
Thank You.

Darcy: You must've left out a field unfilled. What do you see on the application setup screen? Or maybe go back a couple of screens and see what you missed.

AS, after it downloaded, I clicked on Open and followed through a few short screens. I will go back and check now. I'm pretty sure I didn't omit anything. I will be right back.

Strange. This is after all the free version. Hell, even the Pro version lets you run it for 30 days. Did you download it straight from ZoneLabs.com?

ok.
what? yes, went direct to their website.

first window: Installation Window

for Select Directory, I left what was automatically there -
c / program file / zone labs / zonealarm

Configure Brower:
i left the box ticked where it says 'give these components permission to access the internet.

(was that wrong?).
then i clicked Next.

second window: User Info Window

name: first initial of my name and then my last name were already in box, highlighted in blow. (excuse me, i meant to type BLUE!). If it was highlighted in blow, i probably wouldn't give a shit right now, lol.

- i left it. (maybe it wants my Full name?)

then, asks for organization. I left that blank.

then, i put in my em address.

That's where i'm stuck. it won't go any further.

???

Put in "Home" in the organization field. The name thing's fine.

ps- I meant "blue", not "blow". lol (sorry). I corrected my post.
ok. I'll be back.

Now it wants to know if I want to start it now.

Hell yeah, knock yourself out.:p This is about the easiest software firewall to configure. The next thing you do is click the next button multiple times and you're set.:D

I thought you disappeared on me, AS!!!
Well, I don't know what I did, but it's down at the bottom of my screen now. I think I still have some configuring to do. Thank you, AS. :)

I'm in the lab, kinda busy. Don't know what to tell you without my PC. If you got any questions, just ask away and I'll get back to them when I get home.

BTW, you'll see the little red/green/ZA icon in the icon tray from now on. It protects your system from lewd script kiddies from probing.

Well, that red/green thing WAS there, until I clicked to Reply and now it's a red/yellow "ZA" thing. :beatsme: Okay, later, and thanks again.
never mind, i get it! :D
