We just found out yesterday that my dearly loved aunt has terminal, inoperative cancer. The outlook is grim. All the more reason to search until a cure is found.

Sorry to hear that Ladypcer2. Cancer’s a tough way to go, and it sure does hurt to lose someone you love. Do try to spend as much time with her as you can, you’ll cherish her memories forever. Take care . . . . case

I am so sorry to hear about this. I lost my sister to cancer almost 3 years ago, but had no contact with her since I was 4, so I don't have first-hand knowledge about what it is like to be around someone suffering with this. Please convey my deepest felt sympathies.

Dear Lady - words are never enough, but I'm sending you a hug right now. I'm so sorry.
I would like to bring up a point Case mentioned in his post, about spending as much time with your aunt as possible. Very often, whn someone close and dear to you will die shortly, quite often, you don't know what to do. You don't know whether to mention it, to talk about it, or just to give them space. Find out how the rest of the immediate family are coping, everybody copes in different way's, but the one thing I would say, is don't feel you are intruding, spend as much time as you possibly can with your aunt. If you live to far away, try and call everyday. It will give her a lot of comfort, and in an odd kind of way help you come to terms with her passing away.
We celebrate her life, lady PC - be strong with her, and cherish every moment left with her.

My most heartfelt wishes to your family at this time. I had to endure watching my grandfather - a large and jolly man, get eaten up by this demon of a disease - irrespective of the fun and camaraderie we enjoy working on this project. we must remember that we are working towards a glimmer of hope........

Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers.
We brought my aunt home from the hospital yesterday, and she seems to be doing fair. The main thing right now is pain management, as the cancer has spread from the lung to the spinal column, and into the bone. My aunt has no children and my sister and myself will be her main caretakers, and on her "lifeline" contact.
We'll spend as much time as possible with her, and make sure that her time is quality time and that she's as comfortable as possible. Unfortunately, this seems to be a rapid spreading tumor, so time may be short. Thank you all again for the prayers.
Hugs to Team PC.
