Unlocking The XP2100+

Seems the 2100+ is a bit trickier than past XP's when it comes to unlocking the multiplier, and the guys at PC Stats (http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleID=1009) have the fix

"I've unlocked a few of the brown AthlonXP processors in the past and have never had any problems which weren't resolved by the second or third attempt. With the green AthlonXP 2100+ I tried at least five times with no success. The reason I found it so frustrating trying to unlock the XP 2100+ wasn't because I was not connecting the L1 bridges properly, but because that technique simply wasn't working anymore!"

What? That's weird. I thought all Veggie XPs are the same as the Brownie XPs. I have the 1800+ Brownie and 1700+ Veggie, both unlocked, both OCed to the exact specs.

Ok, just read the article. OMG, you got to be kidding me. Modding a 2100+ to a 1600+ w/ a dremel? This guy's friend's totally psycho. Conclusion, buy a 1700+, or save up for a Tbred.

My thoughts too Stoner, I have the same 1800+ brown with no probs unlocking, so yep, I'd just go with a t-bred before I went into that kind of major surgery:D
