How do you get like your homepage to be full display when you increase the resolution?I installed the 28.32 drivers, but when I increase the resolution everything is small.I can adjust to have the screen full, but the text etc.only covers the left side of the page.I have an NEC 20 inch monitor, and leave the refresh rate at optimal. Thanks for any input,I tried making text largest, and icons etc.but still have only half of the page is just pure color.Tuffie
I have been using 800x600 and went to 1152x864 16 bit high color.

Hi Tuffie - which home page are your reffering too - BBF or one you have made as homepage in your web browser?
BBF pages load in such a way that they fill the screen no matter what resolution your screen is set too - however not all websites use this technology. Some websites are sort of left justified, like in a word processor, so if you view the website beyond the size that the creator made as optional, then to the right of the screen will be the site background colour, or the page will repeat itself.
Yep, when you increase the resolution, everything gets smaller!
No way around this, thats why a lot of people who wear specs for shortsighteness, tend to have resolution set to 800x600, even on a 20" monitor like yours.
There are some things you can do to make text appear bigger when you increase the resolution. In the Windows Control Panel doubleclick DISPLAY icon, then click on Advanced button and you have the option to change font size - you will be asked to re-boot if you change to a new size.

Thanks Tech,
I'm on MSN until I get cable,so I bet that is the reason it's small, and as you say stays to the left.I think the 28.32 is a better driver, but I had that strange thing happening when I used the 800x600 16 bit color. It colored all my check boxes, and even the tips on the scroll bars etc.I have no idea why,but I tried the 23.11 and it did the same thing lol.So back to the 21.83 I am now,but maybe now that I understand about some pages doing what you said,I will give the 28.32 another try.Any idea as to what would make all my check boxes and scroll bar etc. fill in with color? Also it does it at the right hand top,the minus, square, close are just colors.Crazy thing but that is what it does,I reboot and it goes away temp, then back they are all colored again. Thanks,Tuffie

I think I cured the sucker,I might have had the color setting to high on my monitor.I lowered it down some, and so far,so good.I had thought about that before, but hell with the 21.83 it never was a problem.Guess the new drivers sharpen things up quite a lot apparently. Thanks Tech for the input,Tuffie

Well after about a dozen installs of the Nvidia 23.11 and then the 28.32 drivers,I give up.Thought I cured it by adjusting the color, then the SOB come back again. So I'm back to the 21.83 and guess my computer likes those best.Oh well I don't really see that much difference, but would be nice to know what the cause was. Thanks Tech for the info on different pages,Tuffie :cryol:

Hey Tuffie...when you installed the drivers did you remove the current one first?

IA: If he's using WIN XP OS, no need to remove old drivers. They're just 'rolled back' out the way, but yep, good point for all other OS's.
Tuffie: Perhaps try a different set of drivers to 28.32?
Lots of options can be found at www.guru3dcom

Thanks IA and floppy,
I did uninstall the 21.83 first, and then had it build the standard vga,and then did the install. It works fine for maybe ten minutes or so,then all the boxes etc. are colored which is a bitch,as you can't tell if they are checked or not.I'm on 98SE so went the uninstall route. Thanks for the link floppy,I'll take a look and see what else is available,Tuffie

I stumbled upon these comments about the new 28.32 drivers, seems like you're not the only one having problems with them...

It sounds as thought they jumped the gun when they put those drivers out.I tried the tool that IA posted the link for,but it didn't cure my problem. The 21.83 works good,so to hell with it lol. Thanks for the link floppy ;-) ,Tuffie
