Say, IA, or anyone, I have a device installed, that I want to remove, as it will never produce results. How do I do this? I searched the UD site, but found no reference where I was looking on how to do this . . . .

Hey Bro...

What do you mean when you say it will never produce results?

As for removing it, the device can never be "removed" from your UD Account, since it has a unique Device ID to their servers. What you can do is to rename the Device so that it appears in your bottom of your list. Also notice that you can display devices based on results returned within the last x number of days.

But really, rather then removing it I would be glad to help you keep it and produce results! So fire away :)

AHAHAHAHA! Nope that won’t be possible. It happens to be my sister-in-laws machine. I talked her into the project, but she’s running a Pentium 233 with Win98-2, has Juno ISP, and keeps her screen resolution set to 640X480 256 colors for her kids games (Reader Rabbit requires that setting). Plus she’s only got 32 MB RAM.

Anyway, I did load it, had to patch the OS with something (can’t remember what) to allow the program to install, actually had it running, but at that resolution the UD client (the box you get when you click on the blue oval) is too large for the screen, and you can’t minimize it or send it back to the tray without shutting UD down, so I just gave up and uninstalled it. Que, sera, sera!

arrgh!!! yeah the minimum resolution is 800x600...

well once you install it though, you would never need to open up the main window...just let it do its work :)

Yeah, I had to laugh, it’s such a pathetic computer compared to what everyone is running now. Trying to talk them into letting me upgrade it for them. $10 a week and I would build them a new computer (slowly!). I built that one for them as a Christmas present back when RAM was really expensive. Had it partitioned so they could keep their kids programs separate, with that resolution, but they got frustrated!?!?!?!?! with a dual boot scenario, so I removed the partition and lumped all their proggies together. What can I say. They still use a 14” monitor. Drives me nuts, and I’m no power user . . . .
