Hi All,

I'm not sure if this has been posted,or if I'm posting in the right spot.Intel has just released a later version of the Application Accelerator, also they have a beta out as well that is later.

I downloaded and installed it,not sure I see any real increase, but thought it might be worth a try.If the link comes out right it takes you to the page where you select your OS,then choose the right version.

I will be curious to see if anyone see's any difference in speed,or performance. :beatsme:

I've got one under programs. I'm not sure whether I put it there or it came with XP. When I get some time I'm going to uninstall it and see if i notice any difference. If I do then I can go to your link and install the newer version. Thanks, Hon

;) Pat

Hi Pat,

You are very welcome, and the one you have is probably the one I had before.Don't forget if you already don't have it to download the ID Utility first. From what I understand it tells the mobo what to install for the accelerator.I'm sure you probably already have it installed as well.Hope it improves performance for you,it's to early for me to tell yet :-)

I installed it a few months ago. I couldn't get my dvd/cdrw out of PIO mode. Now it is DMA MW-2 where it should be. I haven't messed with the utility. Just installing it sped things up. I'm using 2.2. At the time I'd read on the Dell Forum that people were having problems with the newer one so that is why I installed the 2.2. I saw no reason to upgrade. Maybe I should try it out. Thanks Tuff.

Yes it works for me. I just went to Intel and the 2.3 is the newest. That is the one peeps were having problems with on their laptops. I'm just sticking with what I have.
