Windows XP auto-updates..

Ok over easter I performed an XP re-install. Being as ai as sitting on painfully slow, metered dial up I didnt want to dl all the friggin updates, so I decided to just cancel them untill I got back to uni and had broad-band again. Well I'm back and you know what? XP hasnt once told me thre are "new updates" what gives? Does it only try so many times and then give up? Or is there something here at uni blocking it?

Did you wipe the hd or just reinstall Karak? One other thing is your firewall configuration, have you tried anything with it or is it a uni firewall.

If you just re-installed over the old, your updates should all be in place. Do you have the the auto-update turned on or are you in the maual mode?
