Site seem slow ?

If this site seems slow to you, it probably is.

We are attempting to move this forum to a profesionally hosted solution. I cannot achieve the bandwidth here at CDB to ensure everyone's best BBF surfing experience.

We were going to keep it a secret and surprise everyone, but, given that we are having to up load the data base unload, it's making a real draw on our bandwidth. With all the pix and graphic's in the data base we have a 274meg DB unload, and brother, that takes all day to find out it failed in the last 100 bytes ! (yes, it has "Resume", but seems JUST as long doing the resume). When we first started, we still had all the usenet posts, and the DB unload was 324meg. Since we hardly ever use the usenet stuff, I removed it.

Please be patient with us, it will be so much better when we are done.

Depending on how well the tests go with the hosted site, we hope to move to them before the beginning of June.

Well way to go there Bit's :D ,I was really curious about the surprise,sounds great.Now I wouldn't go so far as to say it's slow :lol: .Course being on dialup,I was gonna post a pic,but I knew by the time ya'll saw it,I would be much older :dev: .Good man my friend,and we do appreciate all ya do for us :big grin:

Bits, hon...I won't bitch about how slow it is to load each page at BBF :lol: , especially on cable :rolleyes: ...I understand.

Lots of good stuff about to happen at BBF folks, we have new articles, a contest, a new forum area and real soon a new host with faster speed. Hopefully the folks will come back with the improved speed!
