well they can try, but as the stated, it will be hard to stop. They are thinking of 2 methods of blocking. One is getting more info on your computer (your configuration). but what about people like me who change settings alot (mobo, videocards, harddrives). The other method is blocking the keys, but what about the people that have had there keys ripped off. I know even if they do that there is alway key-generators out there. It's hard for microsoft to figure that out anyways since stated that they don't know all the keys that are out there (where will they start on telling which key is good and which is bad?).
If caught it won't stop you from running XP, you just won't be able to update your XP using service packs, and as stable (:P) and secure XP is, it could mean alot. Interesting how this will go.
