As suggested by our membership HERE (http://www.bitbenderforums.com/vb22/showthread.php?s=&postid=161810#post161810), we have put the suggestion as a poll for the community to decide:
Should we have a BIOS forum
Remember, your vote MAKES a difference.
The 101 Computers area will have a tutorial about the BIOS.
We aren't voting for that in this poll.

It only makes good sense to me,it is a part of the mobo,so why wouldn't I look there for my particular one.My vote is with the mobo :D

well, i've been reading and thinking, and re-reading and re-thinking. i'll have to rely on the upcoming BIOS tutorial in 101 Computers for my laptop and a BIOS forum, per se, may get a bit jumbled, so i figure BIOS questions can be asked in Each Motherboard Brand's Forum.

by the looks of the poll, the membership has decided to vote against a bios forum.
Sure does look that way.;)

I vote yes for one with each mobo. Know it would have saved me alot of grief if I'd had a place to just be able to read about my mobo BIOS instead of wading through forums waiting for answers, or trying to get tech support from some dipwad that can't even spell BIOS.

It's obviously much easier to ask BIOS question in their respective mobo brand.

ditto :D
Get too many forums, and eventually the problems are so wide spread that a person not familiar with the forums find it difficult to find the problems, and even worse where to post them.
KISS is the best method sometimes :)

agreed and voted the same
I am not sure how you guys do things around here, But are we talking a seperate forum within each motherboards forum or just mixing it up with the regular threads?

Just mixing it up with the regular threads.
The members voted it that way, that's how we decide on quite a few things here.
atm the motherboard sections are quite sparsely populated, so should be easy to find stuff for a while.
Nothing's written in stone though.

first option = sepearate BIOS Forum on Forum Main Page
2nd option = seperate BIOS forum within each Mobo manufacturers Sub Forum under "Ye Ole Motherboards" forum
3rd option = no seperate forum, BIOS questions can go in the subforums for each Mobo Manufacturer

We've already got forums in place for each brand Mobo. It'd be logical to just put Bios questions in the proper brand's forum. I voted no.
