Many viable contenders to choose from both camps Intel or AMD.
I prefer the underdog, AMD all the way. I just bought a XP 1600+ and will be overclocking it to whatever I can get out of it.

Intel 3.06MHZ with Hyperthreading and a mobo that handles it.

I used to buy Intel but the last two systems that I built were AMD.
I'm very satisfied with AMD, a lot of bang for the buck.

Im gunning for the Barton Core myself.
I've been tempted to go to the P4 Northwood but I've been with AMD so long and I know AMD and not too much Intel chipset/mobo's etc. Plus their chips are still expensive...

Probably a 2200+ once the 2400+ and 2600+ become more readily available. I want the 2200+ to come down a bit.
IA,
Barton?? Is that so you won't have to get a mobo for another 2 months? Cheap ass

I'm looking at a 2600+ next. I was thinking about the 2200+ but didnt like the overclocking reviews about it.
At the moment I'm happy with my 1.4 Thunderbird, for now at least :)
