DirectX 9 Beta 3

There are many new and exciting features in all of the DirectX components. The SDK has added a new member to its core technology called Managed DirectX, a DirectPlay port for the PocketPC, a High Level Shader Language for D3DX, and Windows XP parity on downlevel operating systems for DirectShow and the DirectX audio APIs.

I've always wondered about DX beta. What happens when it expires? Considering you cannot uninstall, at least according to MS, is it time for a reformat?

Also there are no games made for DX 9 so, at the moment, what improvements does it give, in other words, why install? :cry:

Well for those crazy enough to install it, more power to them. But for those who may have some video issues and want to test Direct x to see if it fixes it......
