Looking for a nicely loaded nForce2 board? The ASUS A7N8X arrives at t-break labs and features Serial-ATA, Firewire and dual-NICs. And this ain't no Engineering Sample. Abbas just got this board in today and I imagine the review will be along shortly.

How about a locked PCI bus at 33 mhz, AGP bus variable up to 100mhz, AGP Pro 8X, Serial ATA, Dual Lan, 6 USB 2.0 ports, but no Raid yet, WTH?

add to that a really terrible placement of the ATX Power connector...WTF????

i've always noticed that most Nforce boards have the worst layouts of all chipsets...very odd.

and yep no on-board RAID - cmon get a clue. Onboard RAID is standard on almost all products now. Why is it manufacturers think they can get away with not adding the features on NForce 2 chipsets?? they cater it more to OEMs and forget about us.

i haven't seen one Nforce 2 board i liked yet. If its not layout, its lack of features.

My top pick is still the Shuttle AK37GTR KT400 (maybe updated to KT400A) unless something comes along to knock it off it terms of layout, price and value.
