GeForceFX could be as large as 205 mm2 and consume up to 35 watts, plus 10 to 15 watts for its DDR-II frame buffer. The GeForceFX uses a flip-chip package to preserve signal integrity at its 500-MHz frequency and to aid in heat dissipation. The part requires a special copper thermal unit to cool the processor and associated memory, utilizing an internal fan, heat spreader, cooper fins and heat sinks.

The device is expected to ship with 128 Mbytes of 500-MHz DDR-II memory using eight 4-M x 32 chips linked to the processor over a 128-bit bus.

You know its time all machines came with built in watercooling when you need to build a portable wind tunnel to cool your video card. :D No seriously, its getting "kinda" way out of hand with how much heat these cards produce. True, you get what you pay for with the performance of course, so I still say its all good as long as they keep making excellent drivers for both Windows and Linux. Speaking of which, I am in strong support of NVIDIA making their linux drivers open source, but they won't cause they are becomming the next Intel/Microsoft IMO. Sweet cards.

That is a great card ok,I agree about having all the later models water cooled. They keep getting bigger and faster, but also run a lot hotter :beatsme: maybe coming along soon !!
