Where is the best place to get silent (or near to silent as possible) case fans, or in fact any type of fan, PSU, CPU....

Cheers

You could get some nice 120's and 5v mod them so they run at low rpm's and just about slient.

CaesETC (http://store.caseetc.com/cgi-bin/caseetc) probably has the widest selection of quiet Panaflo fans to choose from. :)

if the offer the cfm, man it would be nice to lower the droan of these 15 fans from 2 pcs, 38cfm 80mm delta, 2 120mm case delta's and 60 mm, 6800rpm cpu fan are the biggest culprits, all of the other 80mm case fans can't helpeither

CaseETC has good mod supplies, but they are far from cheap. May I suggest http://www.2cooltek.com for the fans.

I like the Panaflo L1A's, but don't forget about the JMC 120mm fans. They are really quiet with good cfm. IA and Rando have them and swear by them. I'm going to buy a couple and try them out.

www.teamawe.com also has nice and cheap selections of Panaflo...well, as cheap as you will find Panaflo's. The JMC fan 0-60 is talking about is indeed a very good and quiet fan but they aren't cheap! But they certainly are the quietest 120mm fans so far.

2Cooltek used to carry them but switched to all Panaflo line-up. Could be due to higher demand for the cheaper alternative.

Specs for JMC fans http://www.jmcproducts.com/dc_fans/index.shtml

You can find the 120X25, 88cfm 45dBA at the site AS mentions above, and the 120X25 61cfm 26dBA here http://store.caseetc.com/cgi-bin/caseetc/F-378.html

MD - there is a UK site, www.quitepc.com that is dedicated to quitening your PC.

I haven't used it, but it is Which Trader approved and the members of the video editing forum I frequent, have goods words to say about it.

Danball,

I moved your topic to the thread below. A NB fan is not a case fan :D.
