i have a D-link D1-624 wirelwess router with a DWL-810 wireless bridge... ok the question is should the lights on the router and cable modem be moving as if files are being transfered or should the lights be off unt til i tunr on a computer..

2nd part

how can i monitor my router to see my bandwidth and or connections and or to know inf some one is getting my signal:rasta: :dir: :rasta: :rasta: :rasta:

1. with the power off on all pc's, and the modem and router on, you will see activity constantly on the modem and the router's wan port attached to the modem.
You should not see any lights on the ports the pc's use with them off.

2. Read the book, and check the mfg's website to see if they have
utilities for monitoring the router. Usually there are logs of connections available in the router when you log into it. the
manual should explain that. More details can sometimes be pulled out of the router with a utility, some of which are free, some are $$$.
