Been trying to print stuff on the Mac OS network in the lab from my Win98 laptop. For some reason, I can log onto the network, but can't find anything in the network group. Weird shit.

I think it's a different type of netbios so your 98 lappy wont see it....... what sort of network printer are you trying to get to, and have you tried using direct IP :
\\192.168.1.xxx
for example ?
i'm no expert on mac networks (try to avoid macs whenever poss), but i do know dhcp works the same way.

The network printer (HP Laser) does have the IP assign function, built in print server, uses TCI/IP, and auto network detection, so once you plug it in, it just shows up on the network group the lab's in.
Maybe it's just me, but Mac OS network is awesome. Hell, all you need to do is enter you static IP and you're set. Ah, screw it, I'll just use my zip disks to transfer the files.
Thx Martz
