just speaking in "what if's"

Say i have 3 computers,

2 have LAN connections to the outside world(through a network of course), the other one has 2 NIC's for the 2 lines comin' from the other 2 computers. Could i use squid to control how much traffic comes and goes on both lines?

I may have not clearly stated my question.

Squid can be used to sort of control bandwidth, using the "delay pools" feature, but it's not really true throttling.

I'm just parroting, mind you, I've not ever used squid.

By the way, there's a broken link in that howto. You can get the cbq init script here now.
