I recently received the Bellsouth Westell modem, which uses USD or Ethernet Cable.

Speed isn't fast in my current neighborhood, just curious who may have the most internet speed. Post your test results in here.

So far 256 is Charters top upload in this area, for right now, anyhow... so it's 3000/256

Believe it or not, my connection is supposed to be 3MBPS, but this neighborhood is pretty old and Bellsouth blames my house alarm for the slow speed.

Wanna hear something funny, I ran the test at my job. I had the entire MIS department in a frency. Apparently I knock something offline. Muahahaha They actually track me down and told me what I did. But they are cool with me so no biggie.

That is still good speed!! Remember the days of the 28.8 Kb modems and you upgraded to a 56Kbps?? Look at us now complaining when we can't get 1Mbps. Muahahhaa

Looks like I am the only virgin in this thread.

Have no idea what anything over 56k modem is like.
Even at work they run a server with dialup.
Try having 4 office people networked,on the net at the same time.

This is the best upload that I've ever seen for this connection at any hour day or night. This was done 1300 hours CDT - this date.
COX in a suburb near Omaha, NE.

I will be changing to QWEST DSL 256 soon for budget reasons. If the pic goes down, that is why.

YMMV by the server selected as did mine. Tests to the busy west coast servers did better than idle servers on the east coast.

QWEST 256 DSL:

UD network score was 40 for the first submission comparred to 140 for the cable connection above.

It beats dial up anyway or at least the dialup I used to have......that seems a very fair upload speed tho..my cable caps at 256 up and I rarely get that.. I wouldn't worry too much about the network score.. you may get more points although your results would stay the same..:)
