Is there a setting somewhere that will let you see the run command on downloads?

Why you need that? file has to be downloaded anyway to be run.

Just use to seeing it and if you use run, doesn't the download delete itself.

Get's dumped in the temp folder instead of where you put your downloads.

No, there deliberately isn't. Programs should not be executed in place by a web browser. This is part of the problem with Internet Explorer.
Also, so you understand the difference in how the browsers work, Firefox doesn't download to temporary internet files (or temp if that's full) and then copy your download to where you saved it, either. It creates the file, creates another file with the extension .part and then when the download is done it renames in place, replacing the zero byte file. This is so you can reliably resume an incomplete download (as long as you don't cancel... use pause instead... in which case it's deleted). Contrast that will silly Internet Explorer that downloads to some random name in a temporary area, then copies (not move) the file. On a large file that's horrible gyration (unnecessary disk i/o) at the end of your download. Your download isn't "deleted" when you run it in place rather than save, only forgotten.

I think it depends on the site and file if that is an option or not. I never run an install from the browser download dialog. I don't trust it. Plus I use a download manager that greatly reduces my download times for large files.

Yes, not executables file types. Other file types you can open in place, with the appropriate program listed according to the mime type if possible, or browse for one if not. It has nothing to do with the site. Firefox will not run executables, period.
