    Abit NV7 due in September

The new NV7 is supposed to debut by the end of the month, I can't seem to dig up a pic for this one. It will be a full atx board, unlike the NV22 which is a micro atx. This mobo will have 1 AGP and 5 PCI slots, 4 USB ports, 3 DIMM slots for PC1600/PC2100 DDR SDRAM.

Hey DK, how ya doin? Not so good news posted yesterday here about all the Nforce boards. I don't think they can really price em until they have em in their hands, just a guess.

    Hey Alakazam

Yeah, good point. I'm just curious about the price/performance between the nForce and the KT266A. I'll probably end up going with the latter for my next immediate upgrade though, and then to an MP based Palomino setup down the line.

They get us all worked up over some new stuff then let us down, we should be used to it by now, LOL. There is a lot of us right now caught between what to upgrade in the near future. I personally don't think the Nvidia boards will be on the market till Halloween or later but I want to see some comparisons like you based on the Via A chip.

It's a shame you can't OC the Pals w/o special devices. Oh well, what'd you expect from new stuff. Think I'll just wait 'til Abit comes out with a MP board w/ all OC options in the BIOS, aka SoftMenu IV? Just guessing now. (2) 2.0 Pals sounds mighty tasty.

It took forever for the KG7 to finally debut. I hope there isn't a postponement of the NV7 too.

NVIDIA defintely has some problems with its nForce chipset, even though the company keeps denying that. Instead of September, when the nForce based mainboards were initially planned to come out, the roadmap states December as the shipment date. There was a pic of the NV7 on Rojak's site but it got taken down before I could snag it, damn that thing is elusive.
