I've just been watching this on the news here at work. Man this is bad. Hope all our Americans are ok...

The 'net is suffering with alot of congestion right now so its hard to find anything out. All the main news sites that I know of are down presumably due to too much traffic.

All I've heard is about the two planes hitting the WTC (and that both towers have now collapsed), that one has hit near the Pentagon and that another plane has crashed in Pittsburgh. Anybody know anymore ?

OH MY GOD!!! I just got the news of what's happening. I am still in a total state of shock.

I will check back in later and give you any details I can....there is a report that 8 planes were hijacked on AMERICAN SOIL.

WHOEVER DID THIS IS FUCKED...SAY GOODBYE ASSHOLES.

My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone who has been a victim in this horrible tragedy.

ya, that was the second plane hitting the wtc #2...
that was freakin' scary...
i've decided myself too that since all air traffic to the US is being re-routed to Canada that i'm skipping the strike line..
the refinery is one of the biggest targets around, the hydro treater would be like an H bomb going off, so i'm gonna play it safe and hang right here..

btw...still planes un-accounted for guys (rumor has it that 8 went mia...but let's hope it's just a rumor)...so keep yer eyes open and heads down...
and the way these guys have set things in action, you never know where the planes are departing from...

The magnitude of how this was planned is treacherous...

American Airlines and United Airlines, the nation's two largest carriers, were hijacked.

The Financial Nerve Center and Military Nerve Center were hit.

All planes hijacked and crashed were enroute across the entire nation from NY to LA. That means the planes were loaded with fuel and would cause enormous secondary explosions.

The terrorists had to have killed the pilots on the spot and took over the planes and aimed right for their targets.

Its a sad day for everyone...I have never felt the sense of national pride more then today. If the US ever finds out who did this and wanted to eradicate the faction, I would have NO HESITATION to volunteer myself to my country.

Sept. 11th has to have a meaning to the people who did this. What is so special about the day??? Anyone know?

I hope all our NY members are safe and alive. My thoughts will be with you all.

But what hit me the most was how Amercian Airlines didn't catch the sudden change of flight path by the two plane. No matter, it wasn't anything anybody could've done during the 8 minute flight from Boston to NY. Sad sad day.

Guys.. me and Lurch are ok. I was on the Staten Island Ferry on my way into Manhattan to work when it happened. I heard the explosion! Then I go to see what the hell happened and I see the Trade Center on fire!! People were screaming, it's crazy here. Say a prayer for us, and for everyone you know and love. I'll try and get back and post when I hear. But I'm just letting you all know we're ok.

It's thought 2 United Airlines aircraft are down, one down outside of Pittsburgh, and the other hit the Pentagon
And 2 American Airlines aircraft hit the towers.
And one car bomb outside the capitol.
Air Force One is in the air with Bush, but no one knows where he is or where he's going yet. It's hard to imagine there was no absolutely no intelligence on these attacks.......someone will pay

I am piecing more of this together for you all...

The two trade towers had to have been laid with bombs in the foundation in order for them to collapse. Buildings are create so the top could never cause the building to collapse like that.

I think the planes colliding into the top levels of the building was a symbolic act and also to creat confusion. Once that happened, terroists could have easily slipped in the building basement and laid the C4 to blow the building apart. They waited for the rescuers to get there and the most amount of people around the building before imploding the building onto itself.

I just couldn't believe this, New York was the most amazing place i'd been to, and now, that amazing skyline has gone. These cowards have tried to brake the spirit of the US with an attack on a symbloic building. The loss of life that entailed was of no concern to them. These things are sub human animals, who no longer have a place in modern society. There is no avoiding what must happen now. These people must be eradicated of the face of the planet. The primatives who rejoyed i this carnage will have to be eradicated.

The loss of life that has been caused has sickend me, and my feelings go out to the entire country. It un-nerves me that this could happen in a western state, we all now live in fear of these kinds of action.

I hope that there will be no continuation of this terror, for the time being at least, although i fear it isn't the last act against the West.

If you look at the videos it actually looks as though the building collapse from the top rather than from the foundation. The huge impact probably destroyed the structual integrity of the building. This is more likley since the world trade centres apparantly drew their strength from the outer walls rather than an inner structure. Since these walls where badly damaged, it make sense that it would be enough to cause a collapse with out the aid of additional explosions.

IA, I think you may be right. The form and way the WTCs collapses was more like a time controlled demolition, seen on Dicovery channel, where Engineers planed months to laid C4/TNT with sophisticated wiring to demolish an old ballpark or casino. Somebody's been dressing up as janitors and have laid the C4 in the ventilation systems next to the major pillars.

Are you guys getting this? Who ever planed this is going to hell, hell, I tell you. Stone the moflickers.

I get what you're saying. But if you think about it and look closer, it appears the buildings collapsed into themselves, a signature of timed demolition, where the pillars are ingeniously bombed in time sequence. Even if the top 20-30 floors were damaged, the remainly 80-90 floors would've held up. The remainly reckage showed the two buildings were destroyed to ground level. A work of genious. If only they were not apprentices of the dark side.

How may people never got out of those buildings ... this is catastrophic, with huge knock-on-effects...

I hear some of the "officials" talking of WAR ... oh please God No.

We had an “incident” in Scotland ... Lockabie ... it took some time but we got them.

I do hope for the sanity of this world that the propitiators of this atrocious act are caught.

I have just finished listening to an expert from the last WTC bombing and he said the WTC is design as an interconnecting building where the floor gives it its strength. He was not surprised at the implosion. He mentioned that with the impact and amount of heat generated from this catastrophe, it was not strange at how the building gave way.

There is also one report that we shot down the plane just outside of Pittsburgh. Probably because it was on the way to the capitol. This is unconfirmed so far.
