United Devices: What should We Do?

Dear Team Members,

As discussed for the last 4 months, April is here and we as a forum were going to make a decision on what to do with Team PC. It was an incredibly fun time to be on the team with so many great folks. Alas, the parody of the name has limited our unified efforts with corporate donations!

There has been some early information and indications that UD
will continue offering a distributed comuting project past April even if the Cancer Project winds down. Assuming we stay with a UD Distributed Computing Project, what path should we take?

Martz has been most generous to plan ahead and created a new Team BBF to support the corporate efforts and provide us a way to migrate over if need be.

Better to be early with our decision so we can plan and take off running when the official UD confirmation is distributed!

I'm not sure how to vote on this one. One the one hand there is the potential for us to become huge with all the coprate rigs available to us if we all go over to team BBF (or if we decide, BitbenderTech). But then theres the fun factor of Team PC and the feeling of being part of a small tight team that whoops nearly everybodys ass. Not to mention the cool banners we always have.

I'd imagine even if we did switch to team BBF there would still be the same people there just that some of us would return huge results due to having so many rigs under out names. So in theory, the same team spirit would still be there. We'd just not be called Team Panty Chasers any more which is a pity. But if we way pros v cons, i think we should go to team BBF.

Ok i just decided, i'm voting for team BBF.

My thought process exactly Dawg. I've grown akin to the funny name but recognize it doesn't satisfy everyone in the team and that's all I care about - being as one team and whooping some major ass on all the teams out there.

I want to go with Martz's Team BBF creation but think we should all get together and vote on the team name. I sort of like BitBenderTech as it has a nice ring to it (Martz's Front page creation too if ou remember) or maybe Martz can ask UD to change the name eventually.

Anyway I voted for Option 3.

Oh God, more confusion. I voted for #1. My opinion's we'll do the new group when the current UD project ends.

Does anyone know if the new project will reset stats?

I am currently working on a design that uses Martz' team logo and incorporates part of the old Team PC logo into it.

We than unite under one team but can have the best of both worlds so to speak for those who may want it. The official logo and banner would remain as Martz has designed it though.

havent voted yet. Will prolly go with Option 2
