Hi IA - are you getting an DC soon? Add it to your xmas list maybe? - would realy like to see pics off your case all tricked out - just wanna make sure you keep the high standard thru to the end!

DK - another Antec aficionado? - I just ordered my 5th this weekend - very neat and tidy job you have done, I have to get some round cables like yours - good job Those pics look familiar did you use them on your HSF article rcently at IC?

Also congrats, your SX635 article your did for IC is prominently linked on the Antec site homepage.

I'm going to be getting myself one of those cases, well striclty speaking it Chieftec / Chenming Black Dragon Full Tower DA-01BD.

But it's the same design just taller and black.

I'm thinking of going for a green neon effect from the bottom of the case and from behind the fan grill at the front.

I got my Antec SX1030 case (beige) from This place.

It comes with a 300W PSU. If I'd have realised they had black cases at the time I ordered, then I'd have gone for that option, but never mind, beige fits in with the rest of my stuff and it's a real fine case.

£81.99 + VAT, which is £96.34, next day delivery.

Anybody know anywhere cheaper in the UK?

Thx Flopps - I buy my Antec cases from Misco (they must be sister companies becuase if you to their web site it's identical layout to GlobalDirect, with identical pricing).

MD - Yeah, I'm talking abou the Chieftec (the site I PM'd you about). Overclockers UK isn't listed as a supplier on the Chieftec site( maybe they source thru one of the distribs), but looking at your link, that's the model you wanted.

I have always gone with Antec, because their case, their psu and two very quite fans - have always matched my needs. If I need something which they don't do, then I would use the Chieftec cases, which have the larger models like the Dragon Full Tower DA-01BD and then slot in a super large psu of my choice.

So you off the Koolance case then?

Are you sure you want to see the inside of mine - they're just stock Antec, no rounded HDD cables, and a sea of wire that I have tied to keep clear of air flow (nothing smart like using protective cable sheaths, or heatshrink tubing, I just got some strategically placed cables ties holding the mess outa the way).

What I have doesn't even hold a candle against what you have done

Sure..if you don't mind. Always curious to know what our members are choosing for cooling and the sort. I changed thread from Case Mod to simply Case. So now everyone applies...

I would love to get a hold of the DC so I can take some more pics of my cooling setup for you all. And also to get more ideas from all the top cooling experts here!

sorry no SnM, but yes it is dungeon like, thats what my parents call it, the agreement with my dad was that i repoint the wall before i move in down here since you could stick your in past the knuckle in places, i had my friends help me, not exactly pro work, filled the cracks and covered the surface too, but w/out my friends i'd never have gotten the dead full size freezer out of here and all the junk, or give me the desk, so i'm greatful, lurch

hey i like the camo on the front, the automotive undercoatin for sound proofing idea just didn't pan out like i would have liked, looks like shit and didn't do a whole lot, took out some high frequency noise reverberated by the case, but thats about it, and i think a couple coats of paint would have done that, but oh well, otherwise bite me , lurch

Ok, so it isn't the pretties case in the world, yes the stencil is a bit rough but as lurch says, he's happy with the camo job which is great. So long as he is happy. he most important thing i spose is that he's gona learn a whole lot from this experience, so his next mod will be better.

Hey lurch good idea with the sound proofing, pity it didn't work, but at least you can still mess about with that and re-sdjust until you are happy.

    Never stop modding bro

Sweet racks, IA. Just wondering though, why two?

You running RAID? Or is the second one for different storage HDD's?

And do you have any probs with HDD detection on boot? Do you have to enter the BIOS and auto detect HDD?

    Just wondering

On my 'attic' K6-2 rig I have one rack and two trays that I use for trying different OS's. When I swap a disk I always enter BIOS first and use the auto detect feature.

    Nice quality pix btw

Hey IA, those fans are looking very dust encrusted. You might wana get some filters there. It's not like you need to worry abut temps with that moster of an HSF setup

No RAID for me, Flops. I got a second HD just for MP3's, Pics, Mixes etc. Also no problems with HDD detection at all. BIOS is already set to Auto-Detect!

MD...yeah its been about three months since I've done any cleaning in there. Not bad dust count for three months huh? That's what Positive Airflow gives ya! I had filters before but they restrict WAY too much airflow and my temps increased amoust 5C. Forget that.

Skamp...I do believe Directon can ship international to ya! I really like my Racks. Quiet and they really dissipate heat well.
