    question DVD on Harddrive

    I borrowed a dvd off a friend of mine and wondered if it is possible to copy it to my harddrive. I have the following in my system dvdrw,cdrw,unconnected cd rom,winME, power dvd player

    I don't see any reason it shouldn't work,maybe there is,but someone will have to tell us what it is

    You'll need a ripper program...you can get one at http://www.digital-digest.com/dvd/do...s/ripping.html

    Then, what you probably would want to do is convert it to divx or another similar file format, as you wouldn't want a whole DVD (around 4-8 GB depending on length) to be on your hard drive. You can download an encoder from the same site.
