Why is my install of FreeBSD4.4 going so slowly? I a friend told me that FreeBSD installs akin to Gentoo, ie compiles everything from source is this true?
Then the questions beggs to be asked, why did i do this on a 233mhz???

Never tried FreeBSD so I couldn't say, and I have heard even less about it, other than it's suppose to be good.

Well i've been at it for about 3 days now , i can't get my sound card, nor can i get X to start...*sigh*, i have a copy of Mandrake 8.1 which is looking really good right now...
