Well, I always used to say Godspeed to him, and now, I see that god has taken him to that.
It isnt shitty news, it's news that Tuffie is in a better place, and he will never ever hurt again, never ever suffer again, never be hurt by insolent people.
Alot don't believe, but I do. I know that where he is now, it's warm, all earthly cares abated, and he really is in a better place now.
God Bless ya Tuff. This one here Loved you. I hope you are there to meet me at the gates when my day comes.
RIP Tuff. Respect.
Tuffie is now on a wondrous voyage to a much better place.

Tuff aka Robert Lindsey lost his long fought battle this morning. Today is a very sad day for all of us as Tuff was the consumate Ambassador of Friendship. As a newbie on another forum, I got to know Tuff first as someone helpful with my computer woes, but then as a friend. I consider myself very lucky to be part of his life.
He will be missed, and I will try to find comfort that he is no longer in pain.
God Speed, my friend.
I believe that too. I bet he is up there with his guitar and is singing. He told me he missed that very much since he wasn't able to sing since his throat surgery.Originally posted by BitBender

Patty, give our regards to his family.
Like Bits, I'm sad at the loss of a friend, but happy he is in a better place. He had a lot of fun while he lived, and touched a lot of people in a positive way. I hope his family is doing ok.
Thanks for the news . . .
It is harder and harder to make a case to a weary and dismayed population that the Western way of life as managed by the Anglosphere ought to be spread around the world at the point of a gun.

Sorry to hear, I feel for his family and friends.
Patty, or Poqal,
Is there someplace, or something we can do? Flowers, donation, both? If you have any datum, I would appreciate it. I would like to send a memorial gift from the lot of us here.
Thanks Patty for letting us know.
Words cant even express how I feel.
I actually got the chance to talk to Tuff this week, before he went in the hospital.
He made me laugh alot.
I am so grateful I got the chance to even know him better.
He was a very caring man with a great outlook on life.
Wish I could of knew him longer.
Tuff is leaving taking a piece of my heart with him,but he is leaving me plenty of his.
I will miss him sorely,he was a great friend.
My condolences to his family.

Have a good day today and a better tomorrow
Having just lost a dear friend myself, I know how those close to Tuffie must feel. I only knew Tuffie through this forum and yet his passing still touches me deeply. Funny how our cyber friends turn out to be REAL people. RIP Robert Lindsey.
Bits, I think it would be great if the Forum could show it's respect with flowers or whatever. I will donate. This place was a big part of Tuffie over the last while.
Yes, and there will be a void here, not soon satisated, at his departure. I only hope he's setting up a VB board where he's at!Originally posted by Cool Canuck
.....This place was a big part of Tuffie over the last while.
And yes, I want to send something for the board, and something personal, as he was so interested in talking to little Bits, and hopefully turning his life around. Tuf just never gave up on things, or people.
Below is one of my most favorite songs. It is so appraphoe today.

This board will always be Tuffie's home away from home to me. It meant so much to him that i cant even describe it.
Today is indeed a sad day

What sad, sad news .....for Tuff's family and for his many friends.
At least his earthly suffering is behind him now.
And I have always firmly believed that those whom you love and admire never really die:
They live on in your heart forever.
Rest in peace, Tuffie.

It's truly a sad day for everyone that knew Bob and how much he really loved life itself. RIP my friend.
Tuff, you've lived a full life. You've been there and back more times than any person I know.
Even though it pains me deeply to say this, I'm glad you are finally at peace.
I just finished sending a BBF standing spray to the funeral home, with a special message from all of us. They had a 210 character limit at flowers.com, so I couldnt cNp this thread, but maybe we can get someone near by to print it off, and mail to his son. I think it would mean a lot to Bob's son to see His friends that he spent so much of his last times with.
I signed from all of us, hope that was ok wif y'all.
when i must leave you for a little while
please do not grieve and shed wild tears
and hug your sorrow to you through the years
but start out bravely with a gallant smile;
and for my sake and in my name
live on and do all things the same,
feed not your loneliness on empty days,
but fill each waking hour in useful ways,
reach out your hand in comfort and in cheer
and i in turn will comfort you
and hold you near;
and never, never be afraid to die,
for i am waiting for you in the sky!

TP, you were a dear friend to me on earth and you will live
on in heaven and in my heart forever. my condolences to

Well, I just don't know what to say. I saw the title of this thread and a lump formed in my throat. After opening this thread, tears swelled up in my eyes.
Tuffie, my friend, you have touched more people than you will ever know. RIP, bud.
Tuffie - The tuffest man I know!
You will be missed dearly.
...
Goodbye, old friend. You will be greatly missed, and remembered fondly.
Rest now, you deserve it. You fought long and hard, where others would have rolled over and given up years ago.
You are the one who brought me to this place, and I will think of you every time I see its colours.
Farewell, friend. There are many tears for you today, including mine. Though those that you touched in this life with your friendship are deeply saddened, we can draw comfort in knowing that you aren't suffering anymore, and in the hope that you are in a better place.
I was lucky enough to talk to Tuffie/Bob a couple of times while I was in the hospital back in April, and he had no small part in lifting my spirits when they were at a very low point. Thank you, Tuffie, you were a great man. You will be missed.
Lost for words... Rest In Peace Tuffie.
We have all lost a dear and beloved friend today.
You are at peace now, Bob, God Bless .
A lastto you my friend.

I think a permanent memorial somewhere here at BBF would be a nice touch.
Good bye Tuff, I shall miss you.
Spezi...
I've made some memorial graphics, they are petty, but..

This is the offering(flower arrangement) that BBF sent today to the funeral home (thx Poqual!), but I added a few graphics to show my/ours/your feelings.
And this is it in avatar size;
