I actually meant to both. I can't do it here and not at PCQ& A too. It will be my honor to help out at both places for Tuffie. I sent you a PM as I had a little trouble. I need your help so when you can, please see my PM. Thank you.

    Hi Bob

I see you have made your journey to heaven, our loss, their gain I hope the journey was good, althought I should imagine it was luxury first class with window view

There are a lot of very sad people down here who will miss you very, very much, not only for you bursting energy, but your sheer determination and grit to carry on, where others would have just given up.

You have touched the hearts of a lot of people here and your unstinting work with BBF, even when you were struggling for every breath is a wonder.

It must have been a terrible time for yout the past few years, and i for one , am pleased you suffering has finished. You can now breath in to your hearts content in heavens fields.

My heart goes out to Bob Junior and the rest of you family - truly awful time for them, you are blessed to have been a part of that wonderful man call Bob Lindsey.

    RIP in peace Bob

Tuffie was a true and dear friend. I remember many MANY mornings when he and I were the only active posters. We would dominate so many threads together, talking back and forth. I've chatted with him a few times, and have to say he was truly a kind and caring man.

I know he's in a better place, where he'll suffer no more, and he's fit and able to chase all the cute angels he wishes. He's going to be watching over us all, and I know he'll be there when we really need him. Tuffie, my friend, you will truly be missed until the day we all have a great BBF reunion on that side.

Love, peace, and rest for you, my friend.

    O Captain! my Captain! rise up and hear the bells;
Rise up--for you the flag is flung--for you the bugle trills,
For you bouquets and ribbon'd wreaths--for you the shores a-crowding,
    For you they call, the swaying mass, their eager faces turning;
    Here Captain! dear father!
    This arm beneath your head!
It is some dream that on the deck,
    You've fallen cold and dead.

This stanza is from a longer poem, which many of you know, it was written by Walt Whitman for Pres. Lincoln.
I haven't been here long, but i do know that Tuffie was a great force on these boards, and he will be missed greatly.

i never knew Tuffie personally as many of you all did... so i cannot remember him with stories, poetry, quotes, or anything... but i can remember his great spirit and all of the help and advice he passed along the way... just reading posts he left regarding other people's questions, i have learned much about computers (which i am learning about), people, life (which i am forever learning about)... everything

Tuffie... you will be missed... even by those who you thought you did not touch...

I know I'm not exactly around here much these days. But I remember Tuffie as one of the brightest lights I've met on-line. He will be sadly missed.

    Rest in Peace my friend.

You now shall know the peace and quite in your soul that eludes us all for a lifetime.

My heart and prayers go out to Tuff's family. It is never easy to lose anyone, no matter how prepared you feel you are for it. I hope they too can find peace knowing now that Tuff is in a much better place.

    Farewell my friend.

I'm going to miss you Bob, your kind, warm and considerate manner were ever present. Thanks for carrying the message for so long and so bravely. I know it's been a long and painful trail, and now you finally made it Bob, one day at a time, you've gone home to a peace and comfort that you so rightly deserve. Rest in peace my friend..

Hey Bob still missing you and wishing you was still here. I think you would be real proud of all us sticking together and helping each other out with out broken hearts. Just hard without you being here. You always knew what i should do and now i'm just lost. Everyone keeps saying time heals all wounds but i just dont think this one is fixable. I know you still around watching over me & the other peeps here. Just hope one day you will be able to talk to us again. Know you in a better place and no more of that o2 to worry with. You breathing free & clear now.
Luv ya and hope to see ya soon

WOW... I guess I don't stop by here enough.

My condolences to his friends and family. From what little I know about him, all I can say is the world is a little better place because of him.

    RIP.

Since I don't come around much any more, I just saw this and I am truely saddened. You always think that every time you come around it will always be the same people plus a few new ones. It is quite a shock when someone of such joy and inner beauty has left us. It was such a nice gesture that you still have a UD computer running for him.
The only thing better than playing the game, is talking about it.

    Unhappy

I'm not good with words myself. Everything that I could possibly say has been said here already. I shed a tear or two reading thru them all.

But I would like to add this:

You're not truly dead until you've been forgotten.
    Tuffie, you're gonna live forever!

I stumbled across this on the web and it made me think of Bob. I guess because he was/is my guardian angel.

    A Gentle Touch
    by Jill

    You're such a gentle guy,
Bending over backwards to help me
There to wipe tears from my eyes
And take away the blur so I can see
    Your hands are so soft
Your touch is so perfectly sweet.
    Never did I ever think
Such a perfect guy I would meet.
You've made me a better person
    Both inside and out
You've made me want to listen
    No matter what comes out.
    You've stood by me
When times were dark and grey
And you were always there for me
When I didnt know what to say
Every time that I think of you
I think of my guardian angel
With nothing but a touch from you
Theres nothing that I cant see.
You say I make you believe in angels
Well, you do the same for me
    You are simply my angel
True of heart, and just for me.

it is my pleasure to do this on bob jr's behalf. he mentioned several times that the first thing TP would speak of when bob jr came to visit him, was his many friends on the forums and how much they meant to him. i will be setting up a link @ pcqanda in the next few days so that TP's friends from both forums may view bob jr.'s post(s) and some additional pix that he would like to share. TP would like that.

Open letter from TP's son, Bob Jr.

Bob Jr. would like to extend the following message to the many who knew our TP: ~

"I would like to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for being such wonderful friends to my Father. He just beamed when he would tell me of the many great things that all of you did for him. I doubt that you could truly realize how much his place among you meant to him, nor how proud he was to have you all as friends. Visits with my father always included stories and topics from the forums, and his love for you always shown through during every conversation. I must apologize for taking so long to get some posts in to you all. I have been trying to deal as best I can, and you all have been on my mind right along, but I’ve simply been unable to get anything together until now.

I would like to take the liberty of addressing both BBT and PCqanda via this memorial thread, as I understand that they will be linked and hopefully this will reach everyone. I especially want to thank Darcy for her wonderful help in getting these posts together. She was a very special person to my father. Without her help, I do not think I could have managed. Sophie Tucker, thank you so much for your kindness and generosity. Please email me to let me know who to thank for the contribution for my daughter, Tiffani’s education. Patty, you are everywhere throughout anything “Tuff” and I know you had a special place in his heart. BitBender, Grogan, Martz, ROPera, Techvillage, and Doctor Midnight, you guys were always making him smile and he would tell me with great enthusiasm about Bitbucks, gaining troubleshooting know-how, becoming a moderator, how awesome his computing capabilities were thanks to his state-of-the-art equipment and programs, and the incredibly kind offers of help and ways to include him in activities.

He told me so many stories of what various members said and did, that I know I can not mention everyone, but Spezi, Lonnie, James, VaMohawk, Troy, Poqal, Ralph, Floppybootstomp, SloHands, Whipat, Alakazam, Montana, Kiwi2022 and General K need to be noted as I know you all exchanged ideas and friendship. He also told me one story in particular that involved a coordinated chat with so many members present that it really choked him up to think everyone would do that for him. To the many other friends that I have undoubtedly missed, I am very sorry, but have no doubt that everyone at both forums made his life much better, when he needed that kind of closeness the most. For that and all the overwhelming kindness and generosity from everyone I will always be more grateful than words can tell.

Lastly, but definitely not least, I have to commend everyone who is making the “Tuffie Tribute Team” for United Devices the raging success that it is…three cheers to all. The phenomenal outpouring of high tech equipment and the committed people who put it all together are truly amazing. I can not imagine a more selfless or totally fitting way to remember my father…he would be so thrilled and so very proud of what you’ve all done. It is not only a wonderful tribute, but a grand honor for my father and our whole family. I will close for now, but I hope with Darcy’s help, I can send along two more pictures—one of a bright-eyed Tuff young man of five years, and the other of PaPa’s little granddaughter (the one reaching for the guitar in the earlier pic) as Tiff looks today. Thank You All Again and please forgive any omissions or errors that I may have made.

P.S. I am putting together my own collection of photographs and memories of my father’s life and times and I would be both pleased and privileged to share some of them with you all, from time to time, if the group would like to see them.

With Many Thanks and Immeasurable Gratitude, Sincerely Yours, Bob Jr."

thank u so much, bob. it does my heart good knowing we were able to bring a bright spot in ur Dad's heart, as he was in so many of ours. i can recall so many things about TP; one could find him in posting in every forum we have here at BBF, ~ tech advice, sharing of personal experiences and exhange of ideas in our People's Court forum, enthusiasm and encouragement when a member was doing their first build, giving support when any one of us was going thru a personal difficult time despite his own circumstance, and one thing that will always remain w/me, his gift for making people smile and laugh; for all that, i can think of "Tuff", and remember him fondly. and now, the two pics u mentioned, i will post below. thank u again, bob, for bringing him a little closer to us.
