A friend of mine suggested that I check out a local ISP in regards to wireless internet service.
I, of course, don't qualify for that. They do, however, say I qualify for "LAN-On-Demand 128K ISDN" at $49.95/mo.
I've read what I could find on it (it seems to be the bastard stepchild of the internet) and it seems that this one service would replace my data phone line + my voice phone line which cost me $75.00/mo just to have them attached to the house providing 56k data and local calling.
I would then just have to worry about a long distance provider?
Am I correct in my assumptions and what kinds of speeds might I expect in the real world of downloading all these Fedora Core updates?
