    Canon Scanner

    Any suggestions for a Linux distro that may recognize my Canon 8400 flatbed scanner? No luck so far wis Fedora, Knoppix, Suse 10.1, Ubunto (latest) and some others.
    Any suggestions welcome

    You'll have better luck if you have a supported scanner. Canon products are a crap shoot. Too many models of their devices can't be supported.

    Scanners are supported by the SANE backend. Here's a list of supported devices:

    Sorry I do not have any good news for you. It's currently unsupported, but it looks like in future they may be adding support for it to a similar driver.
