    Overclocking Intel's Core i7 920 Processor

"We grabbed a new Core i7 920 processor off a retail shelf and decided to see how far we could clock it up. We want to give potential buyers an idea of what overclocking with the Core i7 is like, along with how much performance could be gained, how to deal with heat, and how power consumption comes into play."

That's the chip I'm looking into also and they tested with an EVGA board which also the one I'm looking at but just about all the X58 boards are able to do 4.0 at the moment, it was a pretty good assessment of the chip in that article. They didn't mention much about temps but these suckers run pretty hot when OC'd, especially when testing with Prime, upwards of 85-90C!
