    W7 beta and Java

Hmmm, I can't seem to get java to install on the 64 bit version, I tried both the inline and offline versions, has anyone else been successful? It shows up in control panel and all the tabs work within the applet, also the boxes are checked within firefox to let it do it's thing. I really haven't done any googling yet but later this evening I'll see if any info is out there.

I was able to install the X86 version. It took a few minutes for the web installer to start but it did. The ActiveX install started without an ask or drop down. All seems to be working well so far. The beta is good until August of this year.

I tried using IE and java works fine but firefox took some reading for a solution, it seems that on the new version of FF, you need to uncheck a box on the Java CP. I did that and a reboot, all is good for now.
