And all for a mere $300...

Nice toy, but not quite that nice I think.

I have a $30 logitech joystick that works well enough. I'd never buy elabourate flight gear like this product, or a car steering wheel/pedals thing.

I just use the joystick for one racing game, burnout paradise. Ironically, I lost interest in the game soon after getting the stick lol

I don't have any flight games, but I do like a joystick for racing games. With everything else I have, anything other than keyboard and mouse would be counter productive and annoying)

I only posted it because we have a few flyboys here who might fantasize (no, not bitbender and his fly).

Also, it's something different. I'm tired of the same shit... how many iterations of reviews do we need for different brands and implementations of the same video card chipsets? Oh boy! A review of a new mouse pad... fascinating. Wow, another PC case. It holds a motherboard and everything! Man, who would have thunk it. A 700W power supply that works. It sure was interesting, seeing all those pictures from when they were unpacking it from the box!

    It's hard to stay interested.

I've got FlightSim X and it's predecessor. Both are excellent pieces of work.
The G940 IS wicked cool. But I don't "fly" enough to justify spending that much..
Well like all things Logitech. the price will come down...

I currently use one of the old MS Force feedback controllers. You know the one with the built in power supply. That's is the only one I've ever seen/owned where the force feedback is actually strong enough to rip the stick out of your hand if you're not ready for it.

I agree Gro. I think its a good idea to do the off the wall stuff,(for us anyways) to keep things interesting.

I never actually liked joysticks,I always used joy pads before the computer games came along.
I can always remember thinking that I could never get use to using a keyboard and a mouse to play games.
Now I think a joy pad would feel strange.

For me, there are controller games and keyboard and mouse games.

I haven't found a controller game yet that I can't get to work with my PS3 controller.

I'm not a joystick fan either. Reminds me of Atari. I can definitely see how the Flight sim fans enjoy their joysticks though.

I like a good flight combat sim ... and yeah I was one miss-read question away from military aviation school.

These days I couldn't be bothered spending that much on a controller though.

... and I agree. It's hard to find something original to keep folks interested.
Power is something that should be given to those who need it to serve and withheld from those who seek it to rule.

Haha, thanks for posting it Grogan. interesting, and there are much more elaborate setups available for the pilot wannabees, you should see some of it.

I am quite happy flying with my older model MS joystick. for the flight simulator you really don't feel right with a keyboard and mouse or a game controller - You need a stick to pull back on no matter what kind of airplane you're flying and the whole procedure works perfectly with a decent joystick - all flight flight controls are there at your hand.
