You won't be sorry with that 2600K. Just be certain the RAM you're using (you didn't list any) is right for that board and your PSU is up to the task.
    Nice case, too.
Power is something that should be given to those who need it to serve and withheld from those who seek it to rule.

Good choices, GSkill is what I went with last time, and I've been buying nothing but Corsair PS's the last four years

Ya I used to buy Enermax until two of them died on me. I have had no problems with corsair or G skill memory.
This is the fist modular psu I have bought.

Looking good DJ, hard to beat the Corsair PSUs, and if anything should go wrong, the RMA policy is great.

Built the system yesterday. The p280 case is amazing it is a little larger then I thought it would be. The hard drive holders have mounting holes for my SSDs drive no adapters needed.
Every thing booted just fine. I'm still working around the BIOS. This MB has American Megatrends BIOS never used that one. Crunching BOINC now.

I really, really like that case (I have an old P180). Except for two things. First, no front FireWire port. I use that to transfer video from my video camera. But I could just use a rear panel header for that. And no 4" bay (floppy bay). I use that for my multi-card reader. I have an adapter here to put it in a 5 1/4" bay...but it just looks better without having to use an adapter.

I will get some pictures of it when I get it fixed. The computer started to boot loop found that two slots for the memory went bad. I can install RAM in slot 1 it will boot if I what to have duel channel and install in slot two it will not. I can install my two sticks of ram in slot 1 and 3 for single channel. Going to RMA next week. Basically the RAM slots for 2 and 4 are kaput. And yes it took me awhile to find this out. I looked online and there are others that have had the same problem with this MB. I do like Gigabyte MBs tho hope I don't have a lot of trouble with the RMA. I'll let you all know.

I'm curious about the RMA also. I've used only Gigabyte boards for years. I've never had a problem, but it would be nice to know how it goes in the event I ever have to get an RMA for one.
