Believe it or not, us folk in the US run into videos that we are unable to view also
    My life is slipping away
    I'm aging every day
    But even when I'm grey
I'll still be grey my way

For U.K stuff, there's a program called ExPat Shield... some of my customers use that so they can watch stuff from back home. It uses proxies though, not that DNS resolver spoofing.

That does surprise me.Being Canadian we are often not allowed to see clips of a show or movie because we are not in the United states.Total Bullshit in my opinion, people can't just leave well enough alone, bad enough earth is divided and sectioned off now the internet is too.Assholes!

worse thing about this is that i think it's the CRTC (Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission) that's behind this shit for us Canadians .

It's not the CRTC causing this, it's vindictive media companies in the U.S. trying to punish Canadians, because we haven't adopted draconian copyright laws like the media cartels have ordered (They are coming... Harpo is trying)

Individuals too, who post youtube videos. There's a choice to make your videos regional when you post them. Give some people a bit of power over others and they'll use it just because they can.

In the U.K. there is some content that's only licensed to the British people, some national broadcasts etc. It's not done out of spite, but it tastes like a shit sandwich just the same.

Not always. There are also shares of avarice and incompetence to contend with in some quarters as well.
Power is something that should be given to those who need it to serve and withheld from those who seek it to rule.
