    Opera 12 has been released

    For those of you that like the Opera browser, an update was posted today.

    Improvements:

    Faster startup with many tabs
    Out-of-Process plugins
    Experimental hardware acceleration and WebGL
    Opera:cpu
    Improved loading performance
    Improved performance on security connections
    RTL (Right-to-left languages)
    Improved HTML5 support
    Improved extensions support
    64-bit Windows and Mac versions
    Do not track
    Improved address field suggestions

    Don't think I've played with Opera since back in the day of the 0.x versions, or however they used to version them 12 or 13 years ago

    I use Opera in Mint. In Mint 12 KDE using Opera when I hover the mouse over the address bar the text becomes invisible which can be inconvenient. I wonder if this update cures that, we shall see.

    Had a play with it last night, it's really nice as usual. Use it as change of scenery with that google effort from time to time. Still use Firefox in Linux but only with the KDE integration package otherwise it looks shite.
