Here's another goon ranting about piracy without paying attention to what comes out of his own mouth.
He's asserting that people illegally downloading movies, tv shows and music are costing the Australian industry $1.37 billion last year alone and that the people downloading do not buy more DVDs, CDs etc (as claimed by several studies) but less.
As usual logic is not this guy's friend.
If people will not pay for the media but then download it, it has not cost the industry anything, very simply because they, by his own admission, would have never paid for it anyway, so if they hadn't downloaded it they would have still not bought it. How, precisely, can you lose money from people downloading when you would never have gotten the sale either way?

I can't remember the last time I paid full price for a DVD. I do buy used DVD's sometimes though, usually 'cult' movies, like, last week I bought the DVD film 'If' from around 1969 with Malcolm McDowell in it before he appeared in Clockwork Orange.
