Lexmark kills off inkjet printing business

Too bad, I have a couple of Lexmark printers that are real workhorses and don't use too much ink.

"Lexmark has called it quits in the inkjet printer business, and is also planning to completely stop selling ink by 2015.

The elimination of the inkjet business is a part of a major restructuring plan which will supposedly save Lexmark around USD $85-95 million a year. According to analysts, major players including HP, Canon, and Epson account for 90 percent of the printer/inker market, hence, there's not much left for small-timers like Lexmark."

My first printer was a Lexmark. Piece of shit used cartridges that cost $80 a pop and there were no Linux drivers for it.
Power is something that should be given to those who need it to serve and withheld from those who seek it to rule.

My parents had a Lexmark back in the 90's. It was pretty worn out by the time they replaced it, after about five years of heavy use. I remember the last time I saw it it looked like it had been through a war. My first printer was a Panasonic dot matrix in 1992
