Anyone using a Samsung Galaxy S3

I'm seriously contemplating upgrading my current (non-smart) phone which is 2 1/2 years old now to the S3, I'd like to hear about your experience with them, good or bad. I don't always have the GPS in the car or my IPod with me, the wife doesn't carry her Nook all the time for wi-fi connections either so I was thinking a smart phone might be a useful tool.

Me I'm liking mine so far, I've had it since early August and it's been great, with the only exception being that update I mentioned in another thread that killed it's battery life (before I installed JuiceDefender). But normally it's had good battery life, better than my old HTC Incredible had with a stock battery. I put a bigger battery in my Incredible to extend it's battery life and might do the same for my GS3 for the extra capacity when I'm out and about. It is nice to be able to do stuff on a smartphone when you don't have access to a regular computer and that's how I've often accessed the forum especially when I used to be gone all day during the week. In general though it's very fast and smooth, very responsive. It uses a 4G connection which is pretty fast, a lot faster than 3G, though most of the time now that I'm working from home it runs off of wifi. The one I have is dual core, but you can get a European version without 4G that's quad core (apparently it's a trade-off). I have both Chrome and FF installed on it with my Google account in sync so I have access to all my bookmarks. I also use Gmail on it, and texting - since so many people only communicate that way. The finish of the phone is pretty slick, which makes it look good, but also makes it a bit slippery. Some people use 3rd party products to make it easier to get a grip on and to protect it. Think that's about it... oh almost forgot one other positive thing - Apple doesn't like it

Loving my s3 zammy, best phone I've ever owned. Hardly use my computer anymore. I'm using an otterbox commuter case to protect it.

I've been reading some good things about it also and am wondering what software you use to put songs, playlists, grab pictures off of it, etc. With my IPod, I'm of course stuck with LooneyTunes. My carrier will be Verizon which is who I am with now and hasn't let me down yet.
