Loosing cpu time...

Every single time I exit UD I loose about 2+ hours of work on the protein that im on...even if I click snooze then wait awhile and then exit. How do I fix this? Its quite annoying to keep loosing time and points because of a little problem like this...

What OS are you running UD on? NM, there's no real way to get around the UD design. My only suggestion is quit when you see the progress meter jump from one percentage to the next. I only wish UD could implement a patch where it saves progress the moment you exit the program like SETI.

So it saves the progress every time it gets to the next percent?

The save mark fluctuates. I watched UD jump from 87 to 88, put it on snooze, and quit. Fired it up again, and it's back on 87, but only for a few seconds, before it turned to 88 again. Weird stuff... Wait, it jumped to 89. Let's see what happens if I shut it down... SOB, it's back on 87. So there's really no sure way of telling what stage or when UD will save the progress. Damn I hate the programmers.

One suggested solution was to hibernate your PC instead of shutting down. That way the exact state of UD is saved. No restarting on long molecules.
