Congrats to our first contest winner :D.

BTW, the recipients are randomly selected by Excel from the eligible candidates list (green section). To be eligible, one needs to return at least 10 results.

Congrats AM!

IA...

Dont you think the system should be rated with points instead of results? Because someone could get a couple monster results that take a day or two to finish while someone else gets a few 30min results and pulls ahead? This being directed more at the grand prize system and not the weekly drawing...

The grand prize is also a random drawing and doesn't favor the most results. One must return at least 10 results for the consecutive 12 weeks or 120 total results between the 12 week period. This way if someone enters in the 4th week, for example, they could still potentially still make the grand prize drawing if they return 120 results by the last drawing.

Pretty fair IMO :D.

OH duh sorry I thought you had to return 120 results in a single week which made sense to me to go with points instead of results then because of the short time period...this way makes sense to me now... :)

Not trying to be bitter here (i don't use mouse mats since i got an optical mouse) or nasty or anything. But why is AS being congratulated. He won cus he was lucky (no offence AS)

What people should be saying is "You jammy git" or something similar.

Getting 10 results a week is easy and the rest is down to luck.

I think it's just customary. It shows that you're happy for the winner. I kinda see your point in that there is no real skill involved here. We're not congratulating him the same way we would someone who one the 100-meter dash. Just showing happiness that the person was lucky enough to win the prize. :)

None taken. I was also taken back by why I won. Hell, I think the mods should up the bar on the minimum units produced per week to maybe... Say 20? That's the most my single system can pump out in a week.

MD, I know exactly what you mean. Your systems so hard the whole week, and you see kids like me who barely got his foot through the threshold win. Hell, I'll be piss too. But, like IA said, aren't we all in this UD thing to help cure cancer? Cheers.:D

The minimum results per week to qualify was calculated to give everybody who donated their rigs an equal chance to win prizes. Keep in mind their maybe members whose computers aren't as fast as your average one and may return only 1-2 results/day. Their may also be cases where the machines are not on 24/7 for whatever reason and many people are still on dial-up as well.

Remember folks, the drawing is purely random once those who qualify have been established!! We give no more odds of winning to the top result returners. Everyone has an equal chance...that's only fair right?

And don't forgot to lose sight of the goal here...its to get more people to donate their rigs to potentially find a cure for cancer! The Prizes are a sincere appreciation for your efforts by all invovled! And what better team to join then Team PC :P
