UD screwing me or honest problem?

I have had 5 machines running now for 3 out of the past 10 days. I suspected a problem but at first I figured it just to be a conflict with my computers trying to dial up ud at the same time.

They all are running ud with at least 1000mhz processors. They have not frozen and keep running.

I just came home to find one computer dialing up after finishing ud with 15 hours in. Communication went fine. It downloaded new molecule just fine, but did not add to the most current point total. I know that it takes time to add to team total, but I could swear in the beginnig I saw an immediate update of the latest total on the main screen.

It shows my average points per day at 644.30. With my first computer my average was a littlle over 400 a day. So I figure with 5 computers I should be totaling 2000 points a day or more and all I seem to be getting is a little over 600. Why am I wasting all this computer power. I really wanted to be a help so this is pissing me off. Anyt ideas?

First of all, thanx for hooking up all those machines :D.

Each machine should show the point total by selecting the information button on the UD screen on each computer. As far as the homepage, I think it's updated every hour (I think) and the team stats is updated once at night .......some time around 9:00 PM. Are your points not showing on the homepage or the individual machines?

I realize that until a machine dials up, it will only show the toal that was a result of it's last dial up. What I noticed today is the latest machine about an hour ago showed 6440. It had just completed a molecule that took it over 15 hours. It automatically dialed up ud. It connected. It sent results. It received new molecule. It started over at 0 hours. When transmission was completed it showed my total as 6440.

The way I figure it is this. The total was 6440. My points per hours are 17. The total hours it took was 15. The amount added to 6440 should be 15X17=255.

6440 plus 255=6695 not 6440.

The way I see it is this. I have 5 machines. Each machine should do 400 points a day. 4X5=2000
UD is telling me my averag points per day is now 640. That is what 1 and 1/2 machines would do.

Hey Bart...I'll go look at the UD Forums for you and see if I can see anything that may help you out. I recall Flops saw this strange occurrence once but don't know what became of it. Think it all worked out in the end...but I may mistaken.

Thanks for the donations bro..we will get this one straightened out :)

BTW, did you try using the UD Monitor program to "cache" work units so you can batch send them at once. Works great for dialup and Rando uses it.

Rando also thinks combining the UD Monitor and UD Auto-Dialup would work nice...not sure if he tried it yet.
