thx guys, today when i went to work no one had said anything about the pcs being on, so guess what if it doesn't bother them it doesn't bother me, school pcs full time, and should anyone turn them off during the day they still pop on at midnight, heck the teacher said today turn on the comptuters for the class, but they were already on, go figure, so if this works out i should be able to get 1 year of cpu time for every month minimum, wouldn't it be great to see a name like panty chasers near the top of the list with all the corperates :) lurch

the only reason I am saying so is that my #'s went off a cliff, and I found out that the only computer was my slot 800 working and a K6-2 500. When I did switch my bird to always on, just the monitor shuts down, my numbers jumped. I do belive you need to have the hard drive on in order to have the program fully work. Just a thought

congrats jack daniels, yeah i did the slope of each of our growths and it was obvious that it was a matter of time if i didn't get more machines, lately my two strongest work horses have been getting killed with these humungous tasks, good for you man, go take down IA, but just remember once i get done with my semester i will be searching the campus for lowly pcs to infect with my program, although it will be extrememly tough since the school is finally after numerous hacks from mostly the chinese to use our school as a routing point to deface other pages, they are tightening up security, they have go-back on most of the pcs, and have instituted a log-in session for the computers, for unmonitored computers , which basically have an image put on them and are never looked at again, i will be finding a way disable go-back and put ud on them, the people who i know who use these pcs are begging me to get go back off since they hate it too, i just haven't had the time, from what i can see, it is one of the first things on the boot sector, anyway go get em jack, but keep that rear view mirror fixed, you never know when i might pop up in it, well back to school work, later, lurch

Here's what I'm running:

My rig: ABIT KT-7 RAID, Athlon 1.2 @ 1.32

Eldest daughter's rig: MSI K7T Turbo, Athlon 1.33 @ 1.48 (266 fsb)

Twin daughter's rig: FIC Skt 7 403+, K6-2 300.

Attic 'messin about' rig: Gigabyte GA586 Skt 7, K6-2 350 @ 366.

All the results are uploaded manually.

And just by way of interest, my Abit board is actually more stable than my daughter's MSI set-up. I think that's because I'm using 256 of Crucial 133 CAS2, whereas her board is fitted with 128MB 133 no-name.

I just accessed Team PC's stats page. I've actually only got 934 returns for Team PC. I may have over 1000 returns to the UD program, but I lodged up 5153 points for Icrontic before I switched. I'd imagine that's where CC got his figures from.

Hey TV...nope your points remain with whatever team you left. You will notice in your member homepage you have two Team Histories...Icrontic and Team PC and they seperate the results/points/time accrued per team. It's probably fair that way...because people may switch teams often and it would "penalize" teams if they carried their results with them wherever they go.

damn, thats it, i have one month fullow from college, i know almost all of the techs in that place, first i have to figure out how to get past go-back, which i think i have beat, but i have to get into the bios and take off the security option, but there is a password on the bios and a lock on the case, but i have a friend whose bro is a cop and he wants to be rid of go back, so he might pick the locks so i can clear the cmos and rewrite the boot sector and get rid of that damn go back system, then i will have hmm, 6 more computers used all day, but not at night, and i tried having them auto shutdown but that didn't work and they just upped the security, then from there i think that i can find a handful of other computers, i tried invading the astronomy lab but couldn't make ud invisible, and it was overpowering seti, which someone high up wants on, so i lost 12 pcs there, i want to setup ui build for it, when i do it on so many pcs its a pain in the butt, but i intend on hunting around, hmm, well merry christmas, time to kill that intruder santa, night alll, sinc. lurch

I have around 30 good installs on at the office and now down to 3 at home. It appears to be more but we are (I am) always losing them to the IIF (interfering idiot factor). People assume that because I have a lot of PCs that its easy. Lurch will tell you it isn't, I must spend at least 15-20 minutes a day, every day just checking that the IIF is covered, reinstall any inunstalled, login any logged out and ranting at those who disable the agent. I have also managed to persuade people to leave their rigs on over night, using the excuse that we update virus patterns during the night.

We are spread over 3 offices (soon to be 5, another is USA and one in Germany) and we have over 500 rigs but only the UK ones can be UD'd. The reason? The IT director (global) doesn't like the name "Panty Chasers". If he knew I had rigs on in the UK I would be in deep s**t. I'm sure he has an idea but sort of turns a blind eye.

I've spoken to several of my larger clients, and they have no issue with my firing UD onto their machines, especially since they leave them running 24/7.

Total machine additions for january........ 150.

I know what you mean about the IIF..... i reckon i'll have to do a tour of duty every couple of days to see that everything is running ok.

So who's the next victim team wise?

Lurch, JD, Martz...I know what you guys mean. When I had my rig count up to 25 at my old job, it was a daily routine to make sure things were running ok. For my situation, it was a bit easier then you all because the Agent was installed on test machines/servers that weren't being used by individual users. I didn't have to worry about it being uninstalled, just had to make sure the machines didn't lock up.

With my new job, I don't have the same luxury unfortunately, thus my rig count is down to 4 :( I'm trying to install more machines but I know I can never get up to the rig total I use to have. Oh well...it was fun to be top panty chaser for awhile :)

I'd have to tip my hat for DK too.

I started with one Athlon 500 system before adding a P200 and the ocasional use of a 550. Now i have two Xp ( a 1.4 and a 1.56 which will go to 1.6 over easter) systems and 3 500 ish AMD systems and it's only with these systems that i could get anywhere near 1k so DKs achivment isn't lost on me.
