Not really. I just wasn't aware I could run 2 under one name, at the time. Btw, one of them won't connect to server, since yesterday's maintenance. Shut off, rebooted, nothing's working to get it connected again. :( (and of course, as soon as I posted that, it starts up again :)

Thx for contributing your PC's for helping us. Any questions or help required in getting your PC's running with UD, just post questions in this forum. We would prefer you do that, than you run into difficulties and were too shy to ask.

Also when running your first "protein", do be aware that it's currently takes aprox 8 hours to complete, so don't think, UD has frozen. After running it for a couple of hours or so and hit hasn't completed.

Actually me and James have been taking bets on how long it would take you to notice that I joined. After all I did somewhat coyly mention, in another UD related thread, that since I liked losing teams I would now have to join BBF. I can't find the thread, it was probably lost in the great BBF crash of 4/9. :(

Just kiddin' about the losers. Since I've not posted to PC911 in over 3 wks I was no longer feeling guilty about leaving them and rather was feeling guilty for not being a member of BitBenderTech instead. Yup, IA..I did quit the team. I just couldn't take the damn blinky light and sittin' there wasting time...150 results for 99 days... BS!Only reason I got more RAM was to get more results/points for BBF...and that didn't even help. Sorry all, but my patience just wore out with this new 'upgrade' by UD.

Ah shiet Lonnie...this upgrade by UD is fustrating no doubt but if you take a step back and think about it, the blinking light does no harm to your system, in fact the blinking light means your system is taxed even less. I just ignore the light and let UD do its job...they will get it sorted out soon enough.

Maybe u will come back when things are better...till then the rest of us will crunch on I hope.

It does seem to be getting bettter, on my end at least. They have the shutdown problem fixed as I posted in another thread (restarts don't go back to 0%) and I am getting some WU with only an occassional yellow blinky.

It will probably be a few more days for everyone to catch up, which is a big load on the servers. Once everyone is caught up, it should start working smoothly again.

I haven't returned a result in over 7 days now - been blinky blink all that time.

I tell u, if UD were a commercial concern, they would be phucked .... been a long time, since I have seen a such a poorly execute upgrade and roll out - amateurish and incompetent are two words that come to mind..... Only reason I'm sticking with it is becuase it's for a good cause, but from one IT pro to another, their IT sucks, big, big time. Again, if this was a commercial operation untold amounts of damage would have been done, and the entire IT management given their marching orders....

When I think the shit hits the fan if our systems go down at work for just a few minutes, these is phucking days, no weeks...!!!!!!!!!!!!!..

That's because its trying to connect to the servers to register your device Lonnie. Did you remove UD from your machine or just quite the team the first time around? Sounds like u did the former...so just keep trying to register, it will work eventually. Sorry if that doesn't sound very enticing but that's the bottom line.

IA, I quit the team, then uninstalled UD via Add/Remove.
Then, I decided to get that damn thing again...d/led it from here, got as far as doing the registration (checked off the box as already being member)...waited for 15 minutes for registration to go through...ended up getting a 'not responding'...wanting a ciggie now....grr !

Lons my boxes started getting connections again on Thursday and Friday, use some of that determination to go on ur virtual trip, into getting UD running again. Try UD again - ur giving up too easily :)
