I want to install UD on all my computers, but also want to run folding. Do I run them both at the same time? The only thing is that I don't want a screensaver, I have my computer shut off the vid card in 10 min on not being used. Thanks and hope I can help.

You should be able to run both simultaneously from what I have been reading over at FOC. The Folding will take precedence and run faster then UD. However, since the folding servers are usually down quite often, this would allow UD to take over in the meantime and use the unused CPU cycles.

When I tried it way back when, they couldn't coexist and both slowed to a crawl. Apparently, things have changed since the some folders at FOC are running both Folding and UD and say it doesn't impact the Folding results at all.

Regarding the screensaver, just don't select UD as your screensaver...it runs faster anyway this way, since you aren't devoting cpu cycles to the screen saver.

Problem. Running Folding and UD at the same time just don't work. Everything slows down terribly on both programmes.

Either divide time between both programmes or devote different rigs to different programmes. That's the only way, I'm afraid :(

UD installs a screen saver by default, you can disable it in the usual way. You know, right click desktop, select properties, etc...

well I am going to give it a shot. I am going to try and run both for the next few days. I know what I have been running for #'s at folding, so if I see a huge dip then I know other wise. I am running my 1.55, 1.4, 1,800, and my lowly 600 duron and mabey my k6-2 500, or I jkust might switch and try to storm the ranks...DA isn't here yet:D
