ud and results

why is it that UD goes by how many points you do, not results. I knew that there was a fight by people to get the points to count more, but why. WOuldn't UD want the amount of results turned it to count more? I have fairly quick computers and it seems that they are penalized for being quick. I could move faster in the ranks if I had an army of p 133's then with my 1-1.5 birds. I just find it funny that you would rather have a slower computer to go further in the rankings than a fast one. I just have to compare myself to MiS Nemisis, for I have stayed ahead of him in results returned, but he is beating me up in total points. I find that funny. I know it's only stats, but you saw my addiction to them with FAH, and I wish that there was something that made sense here.

I am going to have to agree with CatCorpse. I would rather see the focus on returning results rather than competing on points. As far what this is worth, results gets us closer to finding a cure not points. Users should get more points though for returning more results and/or hits per results.

hehe I gotta suprise for u :D it'll be a while. I love it though, someone to compete against like the battle Gumby, DragonAce(the god) and I had at FAH. I just started really lookin and Karak almost has me beat with 151 results......... Oh well I guess I will have to get my armada ready. (MiS, my #'s were screwy because I had my 1000 off line, but it's corrected now.)

I do believe points are tabulated according to the duration of the job rather than how many hits you got. A plus for me 'cause I have a 900 Tbird. But I get less units done per week. Ah, @#$% it, who cares.

i don't know where ia's post went but he talked about the team taking down oracle corp. , so i did some calculating, and it will take 31 days from last night to beat them assuming that our rates of results returned/day for both of us remains the same, hope it doesn't take the fun out of it, have to figure out how long it will take to beat ia, also the top team who has 1500 members, our graphs are divergent so until we bring in a whole lot more results they will just pull farther away, oh well, later, sinc. lurch

Hey Corpse...you do know that you can sort any column right? UD defaults to sorted by points but you can just click on the down arrow from each column to sort by that category.
